Diablo II has become very popular in 2001.The main factors that contributed to Diablo II's success include what fans found to be hack and slash gameplay and free access to Battle.net.Diablo II may be played as a single player game, multi-player via a LAN, or multi-player via Battle.net. the game was conceptualized and designed by Erich Schaefer David Brevik and, Blizzard North founders David Brevik with Max and Erich Schaefer interpreting the project leaders for other disciplines (engineering, art and nature that art environment). the main production roles were held by Matthew Householder and Bill Roper.
An expansion pack of Diablo II, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction was released in 2001, and currently is at version . A sequel to the game, Diablo III was announced on June 28, 2008 .
The story
Diablo II story begins where the first game ended, Diablo, in the realm of Sanctuary where Diablo, Lord of Terror, was defeated by an unknown warrior. The latter pushed the stone to his own souland headed demon trying to master it, but it was too strong and,ultimately, corruption.
The player is an adventurer who is just waking up when the destruction caused by Diablo and try to find out what happens,since the hero fell in nets of darkness. As the player progressesthrough the four acts, are in the presence of Diablo and his brothers, called Prime Evils, superpowers of Hell, and find the truth behind the corruption. Diablo freed Mephisto (Lord hate) and Baal(Lord Destruction) of Soul Stones held its related, being taught byfallen angel, Izual how to corrupt them.
Finally, the player gets to destroy the Mephisto and Diablo. The story continues in the expansion, where the player takes the lastlast of brothers, Baal (Lord of Destruction)
